Azawakh History

Recognized through the United Kennel Club on January 1st, 1993, the Azawakh Hound initially arrived from your Sahel location of Africa. They were in the beginning bred by nomadic tribes of the Southern Sahara, where they served as hunting dogs, guard dogs, and companions.
